Fayrefield Foods announces the Collier’s Bistro Live at the Nantwich International Cheese Show
Fayrefield Foods will be cooking up a storm at this year’s International Cheese Awards Show at Nantwich with the launch of its spectacular Collier’s Bistro Live. A visually stunning showcase for the award-winning Collier’s Powerful Welsh Cheddar, the Bistro will boast a theatre kitchen and café where TV chef Matt Tebbutt and Coronation Street star turned cheesemaker, Sean Wilson, who played Martin Platt, will be demonstrating a range of mouth-watering recipes. Both Matt and Sean are judges are this year’s event and their celebrity status should spark wider media interest. Their live cooking demonstrations are sure to be a big draw for visitors and can also be seen on big screens.
Matt, who presents Market Kitchen on BBC2 and UKTV Food, and runs the acclaimed Foxhunter restaurant in Abergavenny in South Wales, is the brand ambassador for Collier’s and can be watched demonstrating recipes using the distinctive taste of Collier’s Powerful Welsh Cheddar at

Collier’s, which won "Best Welsh Cheddar" at last year’s show, has a unique and dramatic taste which makes it a versatile ingredient in a wide range of family recipes. The show also sees the launch of a whole new look for Collier’s. New packaging will be in stores later this summer, which, while keeping the strength and character of the collier identity, introduces a fresh, modern look which signals the quality and taste that Collier’s is famous for. Collier’s is also available ready Grated, and now has a sister product, Collier’s Welsh Valleys Butter, made from freshly churned cream with two per cent sea salt which gives a rich, creamy, full flavour without a higher salt content.
The Collier’s Bistro Live will become an important focus on the trade day, first hosting a breakfast meeting for the show's judges ahead of the cheese judging followed by a pre-lunch reception for 100 guests where Collier’s cocktails and canapés will be served.
Once the show is open to the public the following day, it will be transformed into the Collier’s Bistro Live Café, serving a fabulous lunch menu devised by Matt Tebbutt to 36 lucky guests, six of whom won their tickets in a pre-show media competition run by Collier’s.
