Being a welshman living in South Africa, I bought my first block of Colliers Cheddar Cheese about a week ago. It is the most fantastic cheddar I have ever tasted. In South Africa, we do not get a variety of good cheddar cheese at all. The colliers cheese is very expensive in South Africa but it is worth every single cent and from now on I will not eat anything else but Colliers.
Thank you for a fantastic cheese.

I have been using nothing else but Colliers for over 2 years now and really cannot buy any ofther chedder. I have been known to travel to other supermarkets to buy it when out of stock at my own. Every single person who has tasted the cheese at my house ends up converting too !!
The best chedder ever

Colliers is the most delicious cheddar I have ever tasted. All other cheddars pale into insignificance in comparison. It's delicious on it's own or in cooking - it adds the most wonderful flavour to any cheese dish. I love it so much, thank you Colliers for making the finest cheese in the history of, well....cheeses!

This is, without a doubt, the best Cheddar you will EVER put in your mouth.
If it is not currently carried in your local grocery, insist that your grocer put it on the shelf!

My neigbours introduced me to Colliers cheese and since that day my family had not eaten any other cheddar!! Its flavour is distinctive, addictive and the best I have tasted in many years. My family love it when we have griddled steaks and I take large field mushrooms; fill them with a small knob of butter, garlic and grated colliers and place on the griddle until cooked, absolutely fantastic. You can also mix in some onion or top with some crispy nibbles of bacon. Give it a try.

We fell in love with the taste of Collier's cheese while visiting our son, Peter and his family in North London several years ago. Since then, it's become our favorite cheese and we stock up on it before we come back to Canada after a visit there, or they have to bring it for us when they come here. When Pete and his family were planning to fly over to Calgary for a visit, I asked him to please bring some Collier's with him. He said to me, "It's all about the cheese, isn't it Dad?"

I am a cheddar cheese lover and have tried many different types and the stronger the better. But when I came across Colliers for the first time I was pleasantly surprised on how good it really was. I love my cheese on toast but always find that even the stronger cheddars i've tried seem to loose their bite a bit when toasted. But not with Colliers, it kept it's taste really well. Now my problem is never having enough of it as I am always eating it even if just breaking a bit of to nibble. Also have trouble as my dog loves it too. Well done Colliers you have earned your place in being simply the best cheddar around.

I have tried a variety of strong cheese. My doc says this is really a road to nowhere but hey ho we can't live for ever! I can hand on heart (still ticking) say that this is my favorite cheese and when combined with M&S caramelised red onion chutney on a sandwich, well, tastebud heaven. Try it, better than some of the stuff that the so called masterchefs produce!!!!!

Hi lynne,
The salt granulation you find it's completely normal. It comes from the natural manufacture, from the natural ingredients of the milk!
Congratulations!!I can't stop eating!

Hi I bought Collier's cheese for a change and may i say it was a good change.
I think the taste is amazing my kids want me to buy more!!
My only complaint is the block i have bought has salt granulation so every time i chew a piece it is slightly off putting to crunch on the salt!
I would like to know if this is part of the cheese making and the cheese is ment to have the granulation? .
I also think it was great value.

As cheese lover for a long time I had a favorite strong cheese I thought could not be beaten. Then when the only store, 1 1/2 hours away from home that sold it, was sold out. I was disappointed as I searched frantically. I then noticed a new cheese on the shelf. "Collier's Powerful Welsh Cheddar." When I saw the name I had to try it. I was hopeful but prepared for something ordinary.
Well, far from ordinary, in fact outstanding. It's so good it's almost too good to eat with anything else but better still whatever it's eaten with the incredible flavour blasts through and lingers in the pallet.
A very satisfying cheese.
Unfortunatly it is no longer available at the store I first bought it and I just ate my last slice. Hoping the flavor lingers a very long time.
