Creamy and very distinctive,i dont think its to strong as im not keen on strong cheeses this is a great tasting cheese fair play to all involved past and present, keep up the quality work.Whenever i talk about cheeses after a few jars with fellow drinkers Colliers have always had a mention, they have been converted.

I am a cheddar cheese lover and have tried many different types and the stronger the better. But when I came across Colliers for the first time I was pleasantly surprised on how good it really was. I love my cheese on toast but always find that even the stronger cheddars i've tried seem to loose their bite a bit when toasted. But not with Colliers, it kept it's taste really well. Now my problem is never having enough of it as I am always eating it even if just breaking a bit of to nibble. Also have trouble as my dog loves it too. Well done Colliers you have earned your place in being simply the best cheddar around.

I have tried a variety of strong cheese. My doc says this is really a road to nowhere but hey ho we can't live for ever! I can hand on heart (still ticking) say that this is my favorite cheese and when combined with M&S caramelised red onion chutney on a sandwich, well, tastebud heaven. Try it, better than some of the stuff that the so called masterchefs produce!!!!!

Hi lynne, The salt granulation you find it's completely normal. It comes from the natural manufacture, from the natural ingredients of the milk! Congratulations!!I can't stop eating!

Hi I bought Collier's cheese for a change and may i say it was a good change. I think the taste is amazing my kids want me to buy more!! My only complaint is the block i have bought has salt granulation so every time i chew a piece it is slightly off putting to crunch on the salt! I would like to know if this is part of the cheese making and the cheese is ment to have the granulation? . I also think it was great value.

As cheese lover for a long time I had a favorite strong cheese I thought could not be beaten. Then when the only store, 1 1/2 hours away from home that sold it, was sold out. I was disappointed as I searched frantically. I then noticed a new cheese on the shelf. "Collier's Powerful Welsh Cheddar." When I saw the name I had to try it. I was hopeful but prepared for something ordinary. Well, far from ordinary, in fact outstanding. It's so good it's almost too good to eat with anything else but better still whatever it's eaten with the incredible flavour blasts through and lingers in the pallet. A very satisfying cheese. Unfortunatly it is no longer available at the store I first bought it and I just ate my last slice. Hoping the flavor lingers a very long time.

Congratulations Colliers! Your cheese is simply the best tasting cheddar on the shelves of our shops today. I have spent considerably more on specialist cheddars from small producers and have never come across anything that combines such fullness of flavour and smooth texture, at such an everyday price. At last, I can afford to enjoy a 1st class cheddar in the cooking, as well as on its own with a good red wine. My fridge now has a dedicated Colliers shelf. You've made me very happy - thank you!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. After so many years of buying cheese that says, Vintage, extra strong, tasty, mature and extra mature, and once tasted finding that they don't actually taste like a mass produced piece of rubber, I have eventually found a cheese that actually does and gives what it says on the packet. This is one of the best full flavoured, superbly textured and powerful tasting cheddar cheese I have ever tasted and to top it all off, its Welsh. Who could ask for anything more??? Fabulous.......

I have been a cheese lover for all my life and for a few years I lived in wales and came across colliers cheese in swansea Tesco. I have tried many french and spanish cheeses but always thought that English cheddar could not be beaten. But I was wrong!!!! Colliers is just sweet, nutty, mature, salty and I can buy it in my local village shop- but it goes as soon as it is delivered ! But don't tell everyone- its the best kept secret ever!!!! I give it for Christmas presents!.

Congratulations to Colliers for a fantastic cheese. Wonderful flavour, tangy but smooth. I even take it abroad with me when I go. It is something that I have to eat everyday. Well done to the Colliers team.
