:-)I tried your cheese about a month ago and it is the BEST cheese I have ever tasted. I love the crumbly, gritty texture and it is the perfect strength. I have told everyone about it and have even been bringing (small!) samples into work. Everyone has said how much they like too so you will be having a few more customers. I don't think I have ever felt the urge to congratulate a company on their product - but you all deserve it! Thank you.

What have you done, or rather not done to my cheese. What made it so great, was the gritty saltness, which has now all but gone. Shame on you. I am, we are, very disappointed. Its not cheep posting 5 packs of this stuff over from wales(home). Please please please, put it right, and put it back. To see the faces on my cheese loving dutch friends and family, when they first taste it and suddenly realize it eats more like chocolate, than anything you would waste in a sandwich, is almost as satisfying as this extraordinary cheese is, or possibly used to be. Sort it out please.!
Marc.

The first time I bought this cheese it had not been packed correctly and was very mouldy, but I was given a voucher in compensation. Since then I have bought no other cheese but this. It is absolutely fantastic; gritty, tangy, full flavoured, and worth every penny I spend on it. My only fear is that my local shops will stop selling it!

Fantastic cheese. Bought it when it was on offer and now I don't want to go near anything else.
Being in Yorkshire I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it all the time so get it in as many supermarkets up here and more Yorkies will be able enjoy it too!
Keep the good work going!

I have been an avid fan of Colliers for some time, and have recommended it endlessly to my friends. However, like Patrick B (comment 218 below) the latest packet I bought was very disappointing, the flavour and texture just not right. I too hope this is a one off 'blip'. Please Colliers, don't say it's a 'new, improved recipe', because it really isn't!

This is the greatest cheese I have tasted in my entire life and it is the only Cheddar that I have eaten since my discovery of it several months ago. Sadly the last pack I purchased from Tesco, Prestwich, three days ago is just mature Cheddar, your normal Uumph is not there. I am sure it is an anomaly, I just felt that your quality control would be interested. I am sure the next pack will be up to the usual high standard

I must write to say how much I love Colliers Cheddar cheese. It reminds me of the tasty home-cooked Welsh rarebit (that's cheese on toast!)that my Welsh grandmother cooks for me in her semi-derelict stone cottage near the slate mines of North Wales. Her husband was a miner and his father before him and his father's father also. I have heard stories about how they loved to eat strong cheddar cheese in the coal mines after hours of hewing coal at the face. The family also enjoyed cheese based picnics on the beach at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyndrobyllllantisiliogogogoch. In the coming season of goodwill, why not give Colliers Cheddar cheese to your friends at Christmas instead of soap? You could even grate it over the turkey! Mmm - delicious!

I am a proud welsh man living in england. Your cheese was recommended to me by an English colleague. One taste of your magnificent product and I was addicted. It transported me back to the valleys, and my early years as a coal miner, in an instant. In fact it has made me so home sick that I am thinking about moving back to be closer to the source of colliers. Have you got any chief taster job vacancies at the moment????:-D8-0

It is rarely I rave about things produced in our country today but your magnificent cheddar truly deserves it! I just wish I'd discovered it sooner. I saw it on the supermarket shelf and thought, 'lets give it a go'. It was a revelation. The crumbly, soft creamy texture, defined by rich but subtle tangy flavours, reminded me of yesteryear proper cheddar. None of that soapy, rubbery rubbish that so often masquerades as cheddar! Please keep up the good work and I will help spread the word that proper cheddar is still made in Wales today. Just one recommendation; I'd really like to see your glorious cheddar available in rounds in delicatessans across the land please?:-)

Wonderfully rich and nutty and creamy, yet complex with age. Bravo. Goes well with a claret, I suspect even better with a tawny port or dry sherry.Or all alone !

I am Welsh and so proud that a cheese from my homeland is getting loads of much deserved awards. My husband, daughter and myself absolutely adore Colliers. Love the packaging too, it really stands out amongst the other cheeses. Both our dads were miners and it was this distinctive packaging that first caught my eye and, with it being from Wales as well, I had no hesitation in purchasing it. It was the wisest move I have ever made in cheese purchase terms. There is no turning back now,we are completely addicted and just can't get enough of it. It is the only Cheddar worth purchasing, all the others are bland by comparison. I adore the strong, nutty flavour and it has a lovely gritty texture in the mouth. Wonderful! I first discovered it about three years ago and start getting panicky if I cannot see it on the shelves in the local supermarkets. A close friend was introduced to it at one of my dinner parties, she also raved about it and went on to recommend it to her family. Keep up the good work and please, please don't ever stop producing it. It is a first class cheese and certainly worth scouting the shops for. I recommend it to all my cheese-loving friends. I buy loads when I do find it. A cheese tower tied with red ribbon would make a lovely Christmas present for a cheese-lover, don't you agree!!!

Your cheese is the VERY best. I always stock up when I visit Wales. I put it in my suitcase and bring it home to feast on.
I get several months of enjoyment from the cheese. It's so much better than the bland rubbish they sell in the US and Canada.
Thanks Colliers!

Originally from Somerset, I have been a resident of Austin, Texas for over 10 years. Cheese in the US has historically consisted of flavourless rubber, cubed and served as a appetiser. But wow, how things change.
Colliers is now available here in Austin and life at last has flavour, texture and that incredible after burn.
Can't thank you enough for sending over a friend for crusty french bread.

I am a cheesemaker in devon (soft, not cheddar) and think your cheddar takes some beating for flavour, texture and aftertaste. It is my family's favourite (over Cathedral City and Seriously Strong). For a creamery cheddar it is up with the best. Did you get any awards at Dublin last week?
You must be facing rising costs with the rest of us - I was concerned to see Colliers being heavily discounted in Somerfield. I can only hope that the buyers are standing the promotion costs, not you!
